Paraguay’s housing market has a live financing test this weekend. The Expo and Foro Che Roga Pora runs July 25 and 26 at the Centro Cultural del Puerto de Asuncion, gathering developers, banks, finance companies and cooperatives.
Demand Is Already Ahead Of Budget
Local reporting says the program is approaching 7,000 families with preapproved or in-analysis credits, with more than 5,000 already approved and about USD290 million represented. Officials are seeking more funding because money expected for the year was committed quickly.
The Event Connects Supply And Finance
The expo lets families compare houses, duplexes, apartments and projects in the well while speaking directly with lenders. That is important because the program’s strength depends on turning financing approvals into available, buildable homes.
Central Department Remains Active
Recent Che Roga Pora construction starts in Luque, including Casa Vida and Arasy II, show the model moving through Central Department as well as Asuncion. Loan caps, rates and delivery timing will determine how quickly those projects absorb demand.
Outlook
Paraguay’s second-half housing story is funding capacity. If AFD and MUVH secure additional resources, developers can add supply with clearer buyer depth; if not, the strongest demand may sit in a waiting line.
For Paraguay, the immediate check is whether the reported movement appears in signed contracts, lender approvals, permits, title records, or completed handovers rather than only asking prices. Buyers and agents should compare the named locations above with current listings and documents before extrapolating the story nationally.
