ONS reported UK average private rent at GBP1,388 in June, up 3.3% year on year. England rose 3.4%, Wales 4.9% and Scotland 1.3%, confirming that London is no longer the only affordability pressure point.<\/p>\n
London buyers should keep using borough-level data rather than citywide averages. Camden’s price fall may improve negotiation room, but flat-to-rising rents mean tenants still face limited immediate relief and landlords can still underwrite income in well-located flats.<\/p>\n
